Terms of use

Plain-English draft. Reviewed by the founder, not by a lawyer. Closed beta only. A formal document will replace this before public launch.

What Stedi is

Stedi is a structured tool that helps you notice patterns in your dating life and run a deliberate experiment to interrupt them. It is not a matchmaker, not a dating app, and not a therapist. The framework draws on Amy Chan’s Unsingle and on motivational interviewing and trauma-informed practice. The product is independent and not officially endorsed unless that endorsement is published here.

What it isn’t

Stedi does not provide medical, psychological, or legal advice. The patterns it surfaces are working hypotheses based on what you tell it, not diagnoses. If you are in distress or in danger, please reach out to a qualified professional or, in the US, dial or text 988.

Your account

You sign in with email. You agree to use Stedi for yourself, not for someone else. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. If you violate these terms in a way that harms other users or the project, we may remove your access.

Data and privacy

Read the privacy policy for the details. Short version: we store your data in our own database, we send it to Anthropic to generate the AI-written portions, and we don’t sell, share, or train on it.

Limit of liability

Stedi is provided as-is, especially in beta. If something breaks, tell us and we’ll fix it. We aren’t liable for outcomes of your dating life. The verdict is information from your own data, not a prescription.

Changes

We’ll email you if material things change. Last updated when Stedi first invited a user to sign up.
